This is a PHOTOCOPY of a 1933 Vintage Embroidery pattern to make Sunbonnet Sue Days of the Week Towels. Wash on Monday, Iron on Tuesday, Sew on Wednesday, Market on Thursday, Clean on Friday, Bake on Saturday and Church on Sunday. Each design measures about 6.5" high and 7" wide. (See my other auctions for corresponding Dolls and Quilt patterns.) I include a COLOR printout copy of the front cover and black and white copies of the back cover, instructions and the complete pattern.
Please note that this pattern is a PHOTOCOPY. In order to use it as an iron on, you need to trace the design with a transfer pen. Transfer pens are widely available at fabric and craft stores. Just trace the design and then iron it onto your fabric. It should be good for multiple stampings just like a regular iron on transfer. Be sure to follow the manufacturers instructions and test it on scrap fabric before starting on your good material. You can also transfer the design to fabric by holding it up to a light source (like a light box or a window) and tracing the design onto your material. Please email me with any questions that you have.
I have hundreds more embroidery designs available, including more Sunbonnet Sue designs. The copyright for this pattern has expired and it entered the public domain June 3, 1962.
Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
