    Description

    This hard to find vintage 1950's J.C.Higgins (Sears, Roebuck & Co) 1 Gallon Picnic Jug come with the original cup. The color combination - green exterior with silver lid and red spout cover is very unique.The overall condition of this picnic jug is very good. As with any vintage item, this picnic jug does show some wear - scratching on the exterior metal, minor dings/dents, and some minor discoloration.
    The picnic jug sits flat on a granite counter top. The carrying handle and jug body are steel, while the cup and interior lining is aluminum. The jug lid has a brass knob that when turns expands a rubber gasket to seal the top. The jug is 9" tall (12" with the handle) and the diameter is about 8 1/2". Let me know if you have any questions.
